During this session, we will read a simplified and shortened version of Thomas Hardy’s “Far from the Madding Crowd”, a captivating and at the same time enchanting drama set in the Victorian age and the beautiful English countryside. This is one of Hardy’s most romantic and popular novels which made him famous and allowed him to build Max House where he spent his life as a writer and poet. 
In addition to reading the above-mentioned book we will watch a short video about Thomas Hardy’s life, listen to a dramatized audio version of the story and watch a part of the respective movie on DVD.
